its set up in front of a window and when its a hot sunny day i close the curtians, tbh i have not noticed that at any point up until about a week ago, i do notice a lot of times the tv gets hot in the middle top part of the tv, both sides remain cold but the top middle is hot to touch, ive had 2 other lg oled tv's in the same place the last 8 years with no warping issues at all, so right now with no sun coming through the window the tv is hot in the top middle, it looks to me too when in use for a number of hrs the bent seams to get a bit worse, as its north facing the sun only comes in via that window from 3pm onwards, its only the back of the tv thats would get any sunlight, i did not check it out the box which i will next time, but honestly i never did notice it was like that until a week ago, im going to guess that as the tv pictuer works they are going to say under the warranty its not coverd, which is why i pointed out the uk consumer law when they got a bit funny, but its def not me doing any damage to a £2500 tv , i am always very careful with setting my av stuff up

From what you've described, it does sound like a fault, then.  It sounds as if the TV is overheating in one place, and that's causing it to warp.

Wait and see what the technician says when they come next week.

It's supposed to. From the manual for that TV it states:
Watching TV for an extended period of time causes the panel to generate heat.
The heat from the panel is dissipated through internal vents running along the top of the TV.
The bottom, however, may feel hot to the touch after extended use.
This heat, however, is not a defect and does not affect the TV's functionality.

hi the vents only are down each side only, for some  reason this tv get quite hot top middle of the tv where its now warped, its hot to touch, no other part of the tv get close to that heat, theer is no heatsink in these tv too, i have no clue whats caused this tv to warp top to bottom, i can only asume it was like that out the box, but i never checked that, i know i have caused no damage to it, the only time the tv has been moved was on day of insall, its been on av unit ever since, just now annoying and feel stupid for not checking out the box

here is a pic of the back of the tv, in the picture you can see the back pannle puching out top right of the tv, its the same on the other side too, the vent you can see on the right side is the same as the other side, i cant see where any other vents are, both them sides are always quite cool, its the middle top part that gets hot to touch

You'll have to wait and see what the technician says.  It appears faulty, but you'll have to wait and see what the verdict is.
  • Exactly as above, wait and see what they say and then come back.
Could be a fault, could have been knocked off the stand whilst closing the curtains.
