Skipton to Halifax ISA Transfer

I'm attempting to transfer my maturing Skipton ISA into a new Halifax ISA but have hit a bump.
The Skipton ask for sort code plus account number AND the reference number to be quoted on the transfer form but the Halifax (online only) form only accepts the sort code plus account number OR a reference number and gives an error if I try and put all three on. I could not find a paper/pdf form.
I've used 'chat' on both Skipton and Halifax sites but not made much progress. I'm going to give Halifax a ring next but before I do I would appreciate it if anyone who has already been through this could let me know how this issue was overcome.
If relevant, the Skipton ISA won't mature for a couple of weeks.

Good luck on the phone.. It was a 40 minutes wait yesterday, I'd try first thing or late in their day.

Quote your 9 digit isa account number in the reference field. Skipton uses the same sort code/account number for all it's isas and this information isn't vital.

Honestly I'd just submit it - as long as there is a unique identifier Skipton will know which account your request relates to.
Note I've recently done two transfers from Skipton - in both cases they needed additional confirmation because there was no wet ink signature. In the first case they phoned me, in the second case I had to phone them to get it sorted.1 -
I agree with @changearound1 and @gravel_2.
However, if @Skipton_Building_Society_Representative is here (not guaranteed - they don't necessarily log on), perhaps they can confirm that giving Halifax just the Skipton reference number (and not the sort code and account number) will be OK.

@soulsaver, @changearound1, @gravel_2, @gelato_cat Thank you for your comments.
Just using the ref seems like it should work but I'll make a couple more enquiries when I have time to sit in the phone queues... I have a little time yet as the current ISA doesn't mature for a week or so. Thanks for the heads up about Skipton possibly phoning me as part of the process, I can be ready for that.
I'm not sure why Halifax don't allow all three bits of information to be written on the form and conversely I don't know why Skipton require three pieces of information when two are generic for ISAs and only one unique to my account.
I'm sure there are good reasons for each approach but it's a bit of a pain when really 'in this day and age' it should all be dooable online in a couple of minutes of keyboard bashing. Hey ho.
@Skipton_Building_Society_Representative and or @Halifax_Company_Representative if you're around. Any suggestions or comments?
Cheers all0 -
The Halifax rep hasn't logged on for 13.5 years so I hold out more hope for the Skipton rep (they posted here a week or two ago)

Hmmm - OK. Maybe I misread the OP.0

If Halifax only accepts SC/AC or Ref, I would use your Skipton BS Ref ( the nine digit account no) as this will be your unique identifier.
I certainly found this to be the case when transferring out of YBS.1
