There are some changes to the way these sessions will work with Intelligent tariffs, still waiting for clarification on some of the subtleties as the T&C's are a little short on the details...1

It would be good if you could share your conclusions here, once you receive clarification.MWT said:There are some changes to the way these sessions will work with Intelligent tariffs, still waiting for clarification on some of the subtleties as the T&C's are a little short on the details...

So IOG/IOF users are capped at the equivalent of one hour of battery charging, and IOG customers have to actually have their EV plugged in at home at the time.No other power use will be credited.

7.4kWh into the EV for free is better than a poke with a stick. I'll take that.MWT said:QrizB said:

I suppose it’s suck it and see, my battery will draw c2.5 kWh but of course it depends if it’s full or not, if it charges from the grid the whole house draws from grid. Not clear is itMWT said:debitcardmayhem said:Not clear for IOF users though…. and no household free, weird.IOF customers do nothing and you'll receive a bill credit equivalent to one hour of battery charging.I agree it isn't clear if that is going to be a standard amount for all, or something that actually represents what your battery is capable of drawing in an hour.Either way though there is nothing free for IOF (or IOG) customers beyond the bill credit for one hour of charging so no going wield with the house loads this time.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . The clear part is that there is nothing you should do that is different to what you normally do, it is just like any other day for you on IOF, you will just get a small bill credit for that day which you cannot do anything to influence.debitcardmayhem said:

I guess that IOF customers will (battery capacity permitting) have their batteries set to max charge by Octopus during the events. This would be consistent with IOF as a way for Octopus to build and control a distributed battery storage system.N. Hampshire, he/him.
