Virgin hiking my price and ADSL/FTTP not available

I have just been shopping around to find an alternative ADSL2 contract, but can't find another broadband provider that is offering a service to my address.
Even though I am in the Greater London area, my local cabinet was not upgraded to fibre along with the rest of the neighbourhood, as planning permission was refused when it was first requested 12-14 years ago, and Openreach never bothered to try again as it wasn't commercially viable for them (Virgin Media seems to be the only game in town).
I've initiated the haggling process with Virgin Media (via email, as I couldn't get through on the phone), but I don't know if I'll have any luck
When I plugged my address into BT's Broadband Availability checker I got the results below.
Does anyone have any advice??
FTTP is not available.
The exchange is not in a current fibre priority programme
As a WLR withdrawal exchange, product restrictions apply
SOADSL is not restricted at the exchange
For all ADSL and WBC Fibre to the Cabinet (VDSL or G.fast) services, the stable line rate will be determined during the first 10 days of service usage.
For all SOADSL services, the stable line rate will be determined during the first 10 days of service usage.
Actual speeds experienced by end users and quoted by CPs will be lower due to a number of factors within and external to BT's network, Communication Providers' networks and within customer premises.
In order to be eligible for handback, downstream speed should be less than Downstream Handback Threshold values.
ADSL, ADSL2+ and SOADSL availability: If shown at FTTP or SOGEA premises,ADSL, ADSL2+ and SOADSL are not available to order due to WLR Withdrawal stop sell rules. CPs should order FTTP or SOGEA. Copper products are only available by exception.Comments

You haven’t posted any of the useful information from the BTwholesale checker , the parts that actually show what’s available, if as you say , FTTC isn’t available, then ADSL can deliver upto 24Mb but often less ( depends on the distance to the exchange )
Virgin are not daft , if they know they are effectively the only game in town , they have no reason to negotiate , however these days it’s not just VM and Openreach , many places have an Alt Net offering service.
Post the entire checker return , the part with the predicted speeds etc.0 -

Is there another one that I should be using?0 -
The upper part of the checker ( above what you posted ) has the featured products, downstream line rate , upload line rate , handback thresholds , FTTC , SoGEA availability etc , that’s where what your individual address can order is shown , the part you posted although useful is not as useful as the part you didn’t post .0

According to the image, on a traditional phoneline the only product you can get is ADSL and there is no FTTP (apart from FTTP on demand which isn't relevant here).
Some ISPs still offer ADSL but you might find the throughput limiting.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -
So far I've tried the BT, Sky, Vodafone and Zen Internet broadband websites and none of them are showing any broadband availability for my address.
The MSE broadband checker also shows Virgin Media as being the only option.0 -
is 4G or 5G mobile broadband a possibility for you? three shows £504 for 24 months with the usual CPI increases.0
