Has Vodafone £12 Social Tariff Ended?

Hi all,
I took out the Vodafone "Full Fibre 1 Essentials" £12 Vodafone broadband social tariff last year and i went out of contract on 23/05/2024.
After this date i have been out of contract and lost the social tariff discount of -£10 so now on £22/mth.
Unfortunately i missed the email about renewing my plan when it was delivered to me in May (only just found it now in August). Consequently the link to renew doesn't work and after several discussions with Vodafone they do not seem to offer the "Full Fibre 1 Essentials" anymore but rather the "Full Fibre 2 Essentials" tariff which is £20 instead of the £12 i was paying previously.
I am still eligible for the social tariff through receipt of a benefit BTW.
My question is, has the £12 "Full Fibre 1 Essentials" tariff been discontinued?
Has anyone else successfully renewed back onto this plan?
If i cant go back on the £12 tariff there are more competitive non-social tariffs available with competitors at the moment. (The recent £20.95/mth Virgin 138mb plan springs to mind)
Thoughts?
Thankyou

Thanks, im aware i can reapply for the Full Fibre 2 Essentials but that wasn't my question. My question is, has the £12 "Full Fibre 1 Essentials" tariff been discontinued?

If your question was really can I get the £20.00 new price social tariff to go back to £12.00 then the answer will be no.Nearly all the main social tariffs (except SMARTY's £12.00 unlimted SIM I think) have gotten much worse in terms of price increases and less services for your money.BT and Vodafone definitely got their fingers burned with their initial offer. BT's was very generous and you could order online too. It has neither of those things now.0

Like you I'm on the essentials £12 tariff and it does seem that that tariff is no longer available however the essentials 2 is full speed at £20 and not the half speed that the £12 was and that seems to have been the case for the last few months

Yes I don't think Essentials 1 is available anymore, for renewals or fresh customers sadly.
And whilst the Essentials 2 plan is faster at 73mb, the Essentials 1 plan was 67mb... so a whopping 6mb speed increase for £8 extra/mth ~£100 extra/year! I'd take the lower speed every day of the week.
In summary, it sucks Vodafone have clearly killed off the cheaper Essentials 1 especially for vulnerable people
I think ill stay floating out of contract on £22/mth until a good deal comes along (the Virgin deal i mentioned above wasnt available in my area despite them laying the cable last year)0 -

FYI ...
I had my elderly mum (on DLA) signed up to Essentials 1 last January, a day or two before the package was pulled.
Having read this thread, I was prepared for Vodafone to only offer Essentials 2 with the resultant price increase. As also advised via their online chat, we re-registered her interest in Essentials, in order to be called back and signed up for another year. A full 5 working days later, still no call, but later that day, she received this email from Vodafone, with the subject line "Important information on your broadband plan" ...So clicked that Renew now link and ... RENEWED!!! All confirmed with various emails the following day (yesterday), with her estimated bill for next month back down to the usual amount (£20/m, which includes Anytime Landline and Mobile at £8/m) when logging in to her account.Your Vodafone Essentials Broadband contract comes to an end on 12 January 2025. This means your broadband will move up to the out of contact price of £22 a month, as referenced in your contract. Don't worry, though - as long as you’re still eligible, you can renew your plan for another 12 months, or move to one of our standard plans if you prefer.
Right now, you can renew your Fibre 1 Essentials plan for just £12 a month, locking in another year of great value broadband.
If you’d like to chat about your options, you can find our contact details at the bottom of this email.

I renewed my £12 social broadband from the link in the e-mail they sent me in Oct to tell me it's ending as well so it seems to be available for existing customers via the links but not for new customers

I tried to renew the Essentials 1 plan which is due to end in April. After many calls I was told I could renew the plan online. This is rubbish as this plan has been discontinued even for existing customers.0

You can renew it from the email that they send you to tell you years up there's a link within and it's straight forward it's a couple of clicks, I was surprised as it seemed to be no more then to new customers at least that was the case a couple of months ago0
