Mistake. Sent return without tracking!!

I have received a full refund offer from paypal if I return item worth £52 to Spain.
While completing details on Evri international they asked for recipient's email address. It was marked * so I couldn't proceed without one.PayPal agent (on messaging) told me I didn't need one, and to use alternative carrier such as Evri!! or Royal Mail
So I used Royal mail, and there were options asking for recipient's email there, but there was also some which didn't require one, so I used one of these

To my horror, I now realise that I have used a non-trackable service. So not only have I likely lost my initial £52, but also a further £10.50 on postage.
I have uploaded the label used, and I have proof it
was collected by Royal mail too
I have tried to file a complaint with Paypal a few times today, but after typing everything out, the page is throwing up an error.
But due to the agent not supplying an email address as requested, I am likely out of pocket £62.50.
Will it be worth me pursuing this complaint, or will it be a waste of time do you reckon?
Thank you.

I have another thread explaining why, But I sent an international package untracked Royal mail, and would now like to upgrade it to tracked.
I have the reference number for tracking, and Royal mail sent proof of collection, so it is in their system.
I've looked all over their help section and can't see any relevant option, so I doubt there is a possibility.
But does anybody know if there is a chance it can be done please?
Thank you.0 -
No chance of upgrading at all, the item has been sent and that’s it unfortunately.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I’ll ask for this to be merged with your other thread for clarity. However for future reference most people just enter their own email in the box if the form can’t be submitted without it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Copied from message centre " I recommend using alternative shipping companies such as Royal Mail or Evri to return the item to the seller, as they do not necessitate this information."0 -

We all make mistakes, just have to hope the parcel will be fine (as far as I'm aware Spain isn't notorious for parcels going missing, unlike some other countries), and now you know what do about the e-mail address if any future parcel sending requires one.
If the worst happens and the parcel is lost, you should be able to claim compensation as you have proof of postage and the reference number.

One other thought, if you sent this via a Post office did they complete, or assist the OP to complete all the necessary custom forms? It might be that it is stuck waiting for clearance somewhere.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Does this tracked reference number work on Royal Mail's system?
There are different types of tracking so if you have a number that works it may show delivery, if/when that happens. It just won't show where the parcel is in the system.
I rarely do international post these days so can't really help on that bit.
