How much for a new wall socket ?

We need a new socket in our living room - what are we likely to be charged ?
its about 10 feet from the nearest socket and is floor level.
The skirting boards are well fixed (house built1947)

The materials are minimal*, the question is labour, as above if you have the connecting cable surface mounted it will be quicker (thus cheaper) then having it hidden.
Best bet is to ask friends/family for recommended electricians and get a few quotes.
*A back box is £1-2, a 2 plug white plastic socket face is £4 and 10m of 2.5mm twin and earth cable is £10, no doubt the electrician will pay less than this (or maybe the same for a bit better quality than the likes of what Toolstation sell to the public).In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
