  • no repair is repairing the wireless.

You'll have to post more details as to what security you have on the router, and exactly what happens when you try to connect.

if you can't connect without any encryption on the router, make sure you don't have mac address filtering enabled.

    What is the WEP key?

Just use letters a-f and numbers 1-9. (HEX)

I use this router and up until last month i'd never had any problems with it at all. However, when my sister got her new laptop I could not connect to the router for love nor money. What I found to be the problem was that it would not connect when the SSID name was hidden, it must be something with vista laptops, as its the first time i've encoutered the problem and the only time i've tried to connect using a laptop running vista.

It's a long shot, but this could be your problem. To correct it, log into the router using 192.168.01 in your browser. Then click wireless settings down the left. Ensure that "allow broadcast of name (SSID)" is ticked, then try again to connect.
  • this is the answer to the vista hidden ssid issue
