    Yup - I’m calling BS.

    1. In a DM to me he said: Hi. My withdrawal was processed even quicker then the first time and money is now exchanged and withdrawn in my account

    2. Notoriously, they use different names for customer service managers. This user is the first in any forum to use the name of the customer service manager used by my family member, who he said “was ill and was in hospital”.

We shouldn’t be surprised. They answer and remove trustpilot reviews daily (I’ve been checking) and when you google them, this thread is one of the top hits.
Well then, let's keep it that way.

    Scumbags...

I have reported them to the forum mods.  I suggest you do the same.  The mods will be able to see the DM messages sent to you.

...just in case anyone was still in any doubt that Investqhub was a scam...
  • I'm also a victim of these criminals. I was initially assured that I would be given an Islamic account and was sent the relevant T&Cs. My 'account manager' took £200 and told me how to invest it in the Forex market (which is not permitted under Islamic law). Fast forward some months and another account manager, who asks me what I want to do with the funds sitting in the account. He tells me to invest in a couple of different forex trades. Gradually I'm making some money, then he says invest a furtherr $1000 so I can start trading in gold and copper. Now I'm starting to see (theoretically) serious returns. When I try to withdraw some of the money that the website says I have available to withdraw I'm told I need to speak to the manager. He now tells me that the T&Cs require me to make 3 or 4 trades a day so that I can withdraw funds.

Since I have absolutely no idea what trades to make, this is now gambling.

I feel like a total fool for not doing adequate due diligence before committing money
  • I wonder if anyone can shed some light on what these guys are up to now?

The story (will keep it brief as possible).  A friend has been scammed out of many thousands of pounds, for which they were encouraged/pressured to take out loans.  I have told them it was a scam since they started with the initial £250 but they didn’t believe me and took out the loans without my knowledge.

They did get a small amount withdrawn - they had been promised a lot of interest which would cover loan payments.

They have had the same issues as reported elsewhere: impossible “swaps” losing money, told they had to put more in to keep the account open etc etc.  Then the account manager stopped calling when a second loan payment was due.

This is where my query starts.  Investqhub eventually allocated another manager, who continues to call and advise on trades.  As far as I know the account shows £30k credit, but this is “the Company’s money” and no withdrawal is allowed.  The friend, who had started to agree they had been scammed, now believes they may sometime get some money if they keep trading……

What could this be about?  They have got the money, why are they keeping in touch?  Are they using this patsy to make trades - and hence more money - for them?

I suggested that the victim make some disastrous trades to lose the money IQH have in the account, but hope springs eternal and the initial greed that got them into this convinces them it’s worth hanging on.

sorry it’s been so long: if you are still reading I’d be grateful for some thoughts on what is happening here.

Quite simple, they'll try get the victims to "invest" more money.

I do like the idea of doing silly trades and see if the "balance" still increases.

Because the people that fall for this are more likely to keep on falling for it.  They just keep dangling the carrot of the account balance and fake promises that if you keep trading you will get it all back.  Unfortunately your friend is now left with loans they will have to pay back by other means.

You also need to warn your friend that they may be contacted by others claiming they can get the money back for them.  Of course this will require an up front fee which will just be another branch to the scam.
  • Thank you: I did warn them that IQH would be after more money, also that they are likely to be contacted by others as they are probably on a “suckers list”.  So far, neither of the above has happened and it’s been a few weeks now.

They do sometimes play the long game. Even if it's to stop the person drawing (or trying to draw) the money and thereby realising it's a scam and informing others. The longer they believe it's real the longer they will be telling others all is ok.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
