I did a reverse image search but nothing came up, they don’t work too well on headshots unfortunately.

Hi @summerset1451 - certainly will do. The latest is that Person A has received £500 back (out of £20k). They asked for all of it. What seems to happen is that when they refused to give the full amount back they agree to "at least cover your monthly outlay" - e.g. the monthly loan payment. Person A is no longer in touch with Person B on the topic so I don't have an update there. What I do know is that Person A has accepted it is a scam and there has been a lot of hurt over the issue in the family.
Out of curiosity @summerset1451 - what made you think it was a good place to invest? Obviously the returns promised etc. speak for themselves, but just curious - did you see the warnings (FCA, Google, Trustpilot etc.) and if so, what made you ignore them? Promise no judgement here - just trying to get my own head around it.1 -

timborules said:Hi All,
TL:DR - looks like a scam, smells like a scam - but how is it making money for some?
A family member of mine has been pressured by other family members to make a large (£30k) investment into Investqhub. They cannot afford this and took out a loan “not to miss the opportunity of a lifetime” (yes I know this is debt fraud). They shared this with me and all my alarm bells went off - a quick google tells you almost everything you need to know. I’m Captain Sensible on investments and do everything via my IFA, S&S ISAs etc so crypto and this is way out of my comfort zone. But - what I can’t figure out is that for some, they appear to be “making money”. The company - based in St Vincent and the Grenadines - promised a 7.6% A MONTH return. My family member says some of his friends have “made serious money” - but how?
There is another thread on MSE that is helpful in ascertaining that is a scam - but if someone has invested £100k and is getting dribs and drabs back, how is this company doing it?Thanks in advance.
Another Red Flag, if you go on their website you will see one of the domains they use is a .co address. This is a TLD ie Top Lever Domain for sites registered in Columbia. Many dodgy sites do this, as some people think it's like .co,uk but without the uk bit.

Same as for other 'novelty' country domains like .io .tv and .lyRegistration of a .com or .co.uk domain does not provide any additional assurances.

How do people make money? The "investors don't - you are being told lies by the crooks who do make money from such scams. And so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.1

What I am saying is many dodgy sites use .co addresses, that doesn't mean that sites with a .co address are dodgy. I expect any international business will own domains in countries where they do business. A company that is active in the UK and seemingly in Columbia and no other countries, need to be treated with a large bucketful of caution.
