I have an rbs rewards account where I am meant to put £1250 a month in it, it costs £2 a month to maintain.
I now use a nationwide account for everything.,wages, direct debits for last couple of months.
when can I expect RBS to close this account that I don't use.I may at some point in the future need bank statements of this RBS account.

You could start here to see how to close:

Ot you could use it as a doner account for a switch offer?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards. I believe the OP is asking when they can expect RBS to pull the plug due to not meeting the pay in.I have yet to hear of anyone getting pulled up on not meeting the minimum pay in, so it could well be that RBS don't enforce that condition at all. I'd also say it's more likely that RBS would downgrade you to a Select account than close the account altogether, if they did anything.I loop the full amount needed through one joint account (which then serves the minimum pay in on all 3/6 of my wife and I's RBS/Natwest Group accounts). If you're spending the £2 month and not getting any rewards you should either close your account or downgrade it yourself, or simply add a couple of token £2/month DDs on there instead and bag an easy £3 net each month.0

Surely it's just easier to downgrade it yourself to a select account?Otherwise keep it active with a few token DDs and net an easy £3/month per account for basically zero effort.
Change your current account
If you'd prefer one of our other accounts, you can change your current account online. It's quick and easy to change.
- View our current account range. Specific account eligibility applies. Monthly fees may apply.
- After choosing your preferred account option, follow the steps to apply for that account.
- When applying, make sure to choose the ‘change my existing account’ option and complete the application form.
When changing your existing account to another, you’ll:
- Keep your existing sort code, account number and debit card. Your existing standing orders and direct debits will stay the same.
- Retain your arranged overdraft limit.
- See no impact to your credit rating.

Why not download the statements now and save them as PDF's.1

my point is it's costing £2 a month I only get £1 reward for logging in on their app now.
long story but it's to do with debt and the right to set off.so don't even want wife to put her money in to mines then quickly take it out incase they do a set off grab
so I make sure my salary goes into a different unrelated bank.
was wondering can I get access to bank statements down the line on a closed accountChristians Against Poverty solved my debt problem, when all other debt charities failed. Give them a call !! ( You don't have to be a Christian ! )

But, as above, regularly downloading PDF statements is a more obvious step....1
