Injured in turkey

I suffered a head injury whilst on a package holiday in Turkeyon my honeymoon!! The tour operator has stonewalled the solicitors I asked to look into this incident. The solicitors subsequently closed the case. So I went to them to try and sort the issue out to which they have now said they will correspond through my appointed solicitors. Have tried ABTA but they won’t assist in cases where the injury is the main aspect!! Just feel like I’m getting fobbed off!! It sends out the message don’t get injured abroad as there is nothing you can do about it. Any thoughts please??

Are you holding the tour operator responsible for your injury? Was the hotel negligent in any way? It’s difficult to comment without knowing the circumstances of your accident.

Why aren't the travel insurers dealing with it?2

Travel insurers will cover the cost of medical treatment etc, presumably the OP feels someone else was to blame and wants compensation for pain, suffering and loss of amenities (aka general damages) hence the solicitorsLinLui said:Why aren't the travel insurers dealing with it?0 -
As above - much more specific details of the incident would be needed before making an observation. For example - do you have a record of medical treatment for the injury ?May I ask - was alcohol taken prior to the incident ? That is a standard question that'll be asked by whoever contests your claim.0

Speak to your insurance company who should assist.
On a side note has anyone else noticed the amount of brand new posters on here at the mo?Live each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0 -
Ah - mine have always included legal costs for travel related items. Perhaps that depends on the level of cover that you purchase.DullGreyGuy said:

We're going to need more information on the cause of your injury and whether you believe the hotel or tour operator to have been neligent? Did you require medical treatment that you had to pay for yourself?V3nn0 said:I suffered a head injury whilst on a package holiday in Turkeyon my honeymoon!! Another new poster, asking for advice but who doesn’t return to give enough information to get it.2

They would appear to shy away when they realise these types of issues are more complicated than first thought.
