It doesn't need cancelling if it's over 5 years ago and you have nothing to worry about by contacting BOTH and telling them what I said. YOU MUST DO THAT.
Thank you. Have emailed both DCBL and Britannia Parking Group this morning asking them to rectify their data and to cease and desist. Just waiting to hear back from them now
You might hear nothing. They're quite happy to let you sweat (or perspire if you're a lady!).  But, you have the law (and this forum) on your side. Come back if there's any further shenanigans!
Thank you. You have all been amazing in helping. Will keep you updated if I hear more

Did you require them to ERASE your old data?
  • ***UPDATE***
DCBL and Britannia Parking Group have not responded to my emails but I've had a final reminder come today from DCBL still asking for payment.

    Same advice.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Reply and ask them why they have added a £70 fee.  Who keeps it and what service is it for? Is their client Britannia going to be paying the VAT on that fee, or does the £70 include the VAT (and thus the victim consumer is expected to pay Britannia's VAT)?  Or are they pretending a fee like that is exempt?

(the reason for the above is to report DCB Ltd to HMRC when they reply).

Thank you. I've emailed them back to ask about the fee. I've also reminded them again that I live in Scotland not England and I see no need for them to keep hold of an old address

Did you instruct the PPC and their agent to "erase" your old data and replace it with your current address for service? Did you specifically use the word "erase" that has a specific meaning where data handling is concerned.
