I've just had the perfect transaction on eBay.
I saw an item I liked about 4pm on Friday which was BIN (no offers) but I sent a polite message asking if they'd accept an offer of just under 10% off.
They sent me an offer.
I accepted and paid.
They dispatched the item (free RM Special Delivery) on Friday and it arrived Saturday before 1pm.
Why can't it always be like that?

I suspect that 99% of transactions on ebay are pretty much like this. Fortunately not many people would bother posting about a relatively mundane experience, or the forums would be clogged up with such threads! Nevertheless it is a good point, well made.

Well, it was sort of in response to Soolin's thread:ElefantEd said:I suspect that 99% of transactions on ebay are pretty much like this.
I 'love' this sort of buyer — MoneySavingExpert Forum
hence the title.
I've had very few negative experiences on both eBay and Vinted but I do think buying something from an auction website and actually receiving it within 24 hours of starting negotiations is rare.
I was always taught to commend good service as well as complain about poor service in my job. We called it 'brickbats and bouquets'.ElefantEd said:Fortunately not many people would bother posting about a relatively mundane experience, or the forums would be clogged up with such threads!
Perhaps it would have been more appropriate on this board:
