Shortly.
There's a phone number on your Claim Form. Why not ask them?1 -
Thanks, Yeah I will. Looking after three little kids and short of time. Was worried it had not been received or added to my case.0
-
They are usually very busy, so just keep checking twice a week or so
As long as you received the email auto response, its in their queue, and if by any chance they use Windows, then the queue will be even worse1 -
Thank you! @Gr1prDCBLegal are evil. Complete harassment and scaremongering my family!!I’ll keep checking and hope it lands soon. Just want it gone. Hope my defence works - I used the template from the Newbie added my own section but typed the actual court name at the top and not just left it ‘in the county court’ 😫 Hope that doesn’t make a difference.2
-
Hopefully it won't, but the N180 next stage is where you choose your local civil court
There is a lot more to do than just your defence, the whole process will probably drag on into 2025 , possibly 6 to 12 months is highly likely, so unlikely to be over soon
Just stick to the advice in the newbies sticky thread and in the template defence thread, especially those 12 steps2 -
It isn't in your local county court yet. Do not change the wording, even once it is, if it ever gets that far.
The same is not allocated your local court until later in the process and the directions Questionnaires have been filed.1 -
Not that it matters that you changed it!
No need to phone. As long as you sent it to the right email and got the auto-receipt.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, @Coupon-mad @Gr1pr @KeithP
my defence has been received and I’ve received a letter in the post from HM Courts and Tribunals Service. Please see attached.
Do you guys have an idea of what might happen next?
thanks!0 -
All detailed in the 12 steps listed in the Template Defence Announcement.Ghutch said:Hi, @Coupon-mad @Gr1pr @KeithP

thanks! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
