Giffgaff (O2 network and owned by the O2 parent company) is highly rated by the Which? magazine people. Service is mostly by user forum with "in house" admin if you have billing or similar issues. They include EU roaming except for Channel Is and IOM.1p Mobile (EE network) include Channel Is and IOM in their EU roaming.Both above are non contract, just pay every 30 days to top up.We have SIMs on both the above, GG are easier to switch data amounts each month but both offer that, so are very flexible.1

Nowmobile runs on ee and may be an improvement;
https://nowmobile.co.uk/sim-only-deals/monthly/131
20gb for £10 and double data offer in first month. Eu roaming included (not sure about any restrictions)0 -
Smarty have some good deals: https://smarty.co.uk/
They allow free roaming (up to 12GB fair usage per month). Runs off Three network.
ID Mobile also allow free roaming in Europe up to 30GB per month are also worth considering and run off Three network.1 -

I've tried them out and they were OK but wifi calling can be an issue. It worked for me until I ported a number over and then it stopped!
If you want cheap then look at RWG mobile. They use the EE network. You can get monthly deals with EU roaming included.
Whatever you do, don't switch to Lyca mobile! You have been warned
Wifi calling is also important to me - I read something odd about it not being straight away either.
Thanks for that re Lyca - I was looking at them earlier today. What were the key reasons to avoid them please?
Regarding Lyca mobile, their database has been hacked twice this year and many customers are reporting strange activity on their bank accounts. No one seems to have lost money but banks have been issuing new cards etc. Secondly, customer service is poor and there are also concerns over the financial situation of the company.1 -

1pmobile is £10 a month for 25GB with EU roaming (limited to 14GB) and wifi calling.1 -
I swapped from Vodafone to Lebara, and have saved a lot of money. However the Lebara customer service is pretty bad.1
