EDF outright lieing to me and hitting me in the pocket £ now

If you look at the main meter, how many wires are coming out of it? 4 or 5?
Please could you take a photo of the bottom of the meter and then the whole setup including the fuse boxes and any other boxes mounted close to the meter and fuse boxes.Once we have studied these, we can give further suggestions to establish how/when any switching between peak and off peak is taking place and what you can check next.
On your last physical EDF bill do they show two sets of usage rates, one for peak and one for off peak? And are the cost per kWh rates for each in line with what you would expect for that billing period?

Thanks for the photos.
The display for your EDMI ES-10b should have the following icons. etc .
The key thing to note is the one I have highlighted in yellow.
This should be displayed ONLY when the off peak circuit is energised.
So it should be displayed during the 7 hours when off-peak is supposed to be available.
Now it is hard to make out from your photos, but it looks like it is displayed in the photos. What time did you take the photos?
If it was me, I would be watching that L icon logo at various times in the day to see when/if it appears or disappears.
Then narrow it down to the theoretical 01:30 to 08:30 period.
Once you know the time range when the off-peak circuit is energised (take time stamped photos or photos with a digital watch in the photo) you will then have something to prove to EDF that things aren't right.
If you scroll through the various menus, can you get the meter to display the time and date ? Is this correct?
The final check will then be to establish if the two meter registers that store your peak and off-peak usage, are synchronised with the times that the L logo appears/disappears. But let's worry about that as the next step.1 -
When my meter was incorrectly configured, ALCS continued to switch at the correct times but I was still being charged at the day rate. I'm sure this query can easily be resolved by just looking at the bills to see how many night units have been charged at night rate, providing they have smart meter readings for each bill. The OP could also check the meter readings daily to see how many units on the night register have been used.0

That was going to be my final check :

In which case, that logo should be displayed during peak times only, which seems to match the OP's photographs.
I could be completely wrong though, because "on" = "circuit is off" seems strange.0 -
Agree, the Icon is confusing as it shows an open circuit, but the text description does say "L icon is ON : ALCS is on"
I read it a few times before reaching my conclusion, but yes, I could also be completely wrong!!!!1 -

If you have a look at the meter during the day, does it show a reading of about 1900 kWh-ish at the moment or a reading of about 2200 kWh-ish? And which way round at night?(EDIT - trying to establish whether this is just a question of transposed registers)0
