Bit of a wildly generalised statement, the networks themselves sell refurbished handsets at times.Emmia said:
Given the issues with secondhand phones (i.e. the previous owner reports them as stolen having sold them to make an insurance claim, rendering the phone "bricked"), I wouldn't buy anything other than a brand new phone.oldernonethewiser said:Have you considered a refurbished iphone?
I haven't bought a new one for years.
Wont be a risk if you buy it from a reputable company. Some people prefer refurbished to second hand
Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0 -

Apple does a very good job of locking you into their ecosystem through the relatively painless integration of many different devices.
You could start the migration by replacing AirTags with the likes of Tile as they work on both platforms however dont expect it to work a 10% as well as an AirTag if an item is lost outside the home... every apple device in the world will be looking for a lost AirTag item where its only other Tile users that have turned on the app running in the background looking for your Tile tagged item.
We had some success with Tile but that was before the AirTags and Galaxy Smart Tag came about and I'm sure many have migrated to their phone manufacturer since then.0 -

Re trackers/tags, the Find My Device network on Google has recently started and you can get devices like the Chipolo One Point which use it and one from Pebblebee I believe - suspect it's early days and not as good as Apple's but you could do some research.0
