dave321, just called them up and was told they don't have any stock, so I left my number with them and they'll be calling me as soon as they've got some in. Could be worth ringing to get your name on the list0

Not wanting to pour cold water on the fire, but I would imagine that the cashback is going to be bringing it to down to £15 a month and not £4.99 a month. That's the stock deal.
They actually offered me the same deal- net £4.99pm, I refused so they managed to sort out the original BT offer insteadAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
Rang the sales line and was told they are now out of stock until 25th October, there is a date for your diaries!0

Rang CPW at Middlebrook Bolton who says that the deal is still on but (obviously) they have no phones BUT that the deal is that you have to buy £15 of 3 Pay PAYG airtime at time of purchase AND agree to £15 minimum top up each month. I don't think that everyone else expected this but I didn't and the deal has now lost it's sparkle for me.0

AND agree to £15 minimum top up
thats the normal "3" PAYU tariff, but purchase of the £15pm topup is only if you wish to use the sim providedAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -

Hmmm I think the technical name for that is 'contract'
Aren't mobile phone sales people a wonderful breed, 1 offer, 100 interpretations given the various tales people have been told at various points since this offer began.0 -
hi all
i just got me one of these from my local cpw..... last one sir....yippeeee !! i thought.
the guy in the shop said he had to explain a few things before i went ahead, he told me that cpw has had to change the conditions of sale due to the amount of traders buying up to 10 phones at a time and then, in his words, taking the card out and unlocking the phone and selling it on ebay for 3 times what they had paid for them. so what, i hear you say, sounds like a good scam to me, as i smiled to myself.... then the ultimate blow was delivered...... he said, but we (CPW) will have the last laugh because 3 will know that the wrong sim card has been put in the phone because the phone will send a message to 3 telling them........... yeah right
he then told me that the phone will be black listed rendering it useless for the uk..
i still brought it. :-/
make of this what you will, maybe its true, maybe its cr#p, maybe its cpw's way of cutting down the backlog of orders..
he also told me that you have to use a credit card to purchase these now and the main computer at head office will know how many certain people have got.
im not sure if this guy was for real or just full of it.
any way, nice little phone, go get one........ if you can find em.
good luck !!!!!

well from day 1 the offer was limited to 2 per person including staff so someone screwed up somewhere
love to see the justification for blacklisting phones, anyone else signed anything forbidding them to use their phone for any other purpose?0 -
Would that be before or after we go after CPW for still quoting the wrong tariff costs on the £15 topup
