try getting the japanese 3.80 firmware for it
if it doesnt work, try setting the IP address manually (try 192.168.0.150 for example). all the settings you need to set it up manually are on the status page of the router0 -
someone else i have asked has said they've heard jap wifi is not compatible with uk wifi,

Looks like you will need it flashed with non Jap firmware, because in Japan only channel 14 of the 802.11b standard is permitted to be used. In Europe channels 1 - 13 are allowed. You didn't tell us that one of them was a Japanese import.
:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Sorry no personal experience of this but at least now you know why it won't connect on channel 14. gaming_guy may be able to help you.
Just a thought. Could you enter Japan as the region in your router? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

try what ive quoted from espresso
log into the router > wireless settings > change country to Japan and the channel to 14.
if that prevents all the other devices you have from connecting, get a usb wifi adapter and set it to the Japanese settings. to give it internet access just bridge the 2 network connections together0 -
i think i'll just quit now gaming_guy its too much hassle well at least i got one connected, so if we get another uk psp i can do it with that
