it is on b&g i haven't allowed broadcast of name but put it in manually
do you think it will make a difference of me putting it in manually or letting it find it itself,

are you putting the SSID in correctly (case sensitive letters etc)?
what firmware did you update to?0 -
yeah exactly same i'm gonna have another go i'll allow broadcast and try again i'll let you know how i get on

forgot to mention gaming guy i updated to version 3.80
well i allowed broadcast name found name no bother keyed in wpa and clicked test still came up connection error timed out etc.....grrrrrr oh well 2morro's another day fresh star an all that it'll probably end up in the bin (lol)0 -

i updated router and then tried again still no joy

i'm not sure if this will work, but try running the connection test in network settings > highlight your router > press triangle > connection testto true
i am surmising it is capable, because it has all the symbols on the psp and am able to put them in....
edit: i know this may sound stupid, but is the WIFI switch switched on (near the directional pad and make sure its slid up)?0 -
yeah tried that also gaming guy cos when you save settings it then askes to test connection which i clicked but still no joy and yeah wifi is switched on cos if you try and do it without it being on it tells you its not on
i've been sitting at this bloomin laptop for ages doing allsorts of searches and cant find anything saying it wont accept ascii
