out of the blue ive had a call from EE my contract is up 4th oct, no sales pressure for a upgrade to new phone, moved straight onto sim only offered me cheapest package,1gb data+11gb (12 in total), 12 mths contract for £6pm snaped that up as it carries on with my long running contract on my credit file also they waved the £55 early upgrade fee
"£55 early upgrade fee"? Do you mean that they've cancelled some still-outstanding phone finance?
If so then that's a good deal, if not then they've invented a charge that they can then cancel. A fee to extend your contract by another 12 months is nonsense.
100% cancelled the upgrade fee £55 i doubled checked that on the phone and confirmed, checking my online acc, already showing new contract with no upgrade fee email also saying more or less the same
they did say on the phone at the time and its in the email, its going up £1.50 to £7.50 in march i'm happy with that btw and also on the 100mps connection, i dont use much data max 1gb a month for spotify and sat nav both in the car and thats it rest is wifi

I think the poster means early termination fee, they are still within their minimum term so normally would either have to wait until the end of the term or pay the remaining months.
