Solar Panel Grants

Hello,

I am seeking information on available grants for solar panel installation. I have received a quote from an energy company, and when I inquired about grants, they advised me to find and apply for one independently. However, I find it challenging to locate suitable grants, and I am wary of trusting websites that prompt me to "click here to apply." I prefer to use official and reliable sources.

The property in question has an EPC rating of grade C, with a recommendation to install solar panels for improvement. We are currently receiving Universal Credit and DLA. Despite this, I have not been able to find any relevant grants, and the energy companies do not provide a clear path forward.

Does anyone have any suggestions or know where I can find reliable information on solar panel grants?

Thank you.

The only scheme I'm aware of at present is the ECO4 scheme, which you should qualify for given the benefits you receive.
ECO4 is not just limited to solar panels though, and normally induces a whole raft of measures designed to improve the overall energy efficiency of the property, including extra insulation and replacement energy efficient (and green) Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) heating system to replace gas or oil boilers. You cannot pick and choose between the measures as it's an all or nothing scheme, so you cannot request just the solar without the other measures.

Our green credentials: 12kW Samsung ASHP for heating, 7.2kWp Solar (South facing), Tesla Powerwall 3 (13.5kWh), Net exporter

I think in most cases the ECO4 is only available to those with an EPC of D or lower. With a C you are unlikely to be accepted as your house is already fairly efficient.
