The access I have to flight data records does not go back that far.  Someone else on the forum who has a full subscription might be able to look back to your travel date.

I did add your flight to the flight checker tool on Bott & Co.  This gave a result that the flight had not been delayed for that length of time (3h+ on arrival) to SIN. They would not take on your claim for compensation.   This seems to be what the airline has told you.

I can’t see any BA flights delayed by more than 3 hrs into SIN recently (you have not given flight number or date). Was this BA15/08JUL? Do you mean you missed your connection in SIN and arrived more than 3 hrs late into BNE.
Ba15 on 30th May to Sing Ba7406 on 31st May to bris operated by qantas

    BA15 on 30th May landed early - STA: 17:45 - ATA: 17:08

    BA7406 (QF52) on 31st May landed 2 hours 58 mins late - STA: 06:05 - ATA 09:03

So the SIN-BNE flight on 31st landed 2hrs 58min late, however by the time that got to the gate and doors open it would be over the 3 hours.

There seems to have been a 28 hour overnight layover in Singapore (arrive 17:45 30/05 depart 20:30 31/05).  I'm not sure how EC/UK261 is applied in these circumstances if the itinerary has such an overnight break?  Someone more knowledgeable may know some case law.

In any event it won't be BA responsible for compensation.  It would be Qantas as the operating carrier of QF52. I think you'll have a hard job convincing them they should pay it though.  On one hand I can see that it was a UK originating itinerary and you did arrive 3+ hours late.  That said I can also see that a night stop may break the itinerary? Especially if it was chosen by the passenger?  BA will sell you BA15 -> BA7406 on the same day, 2hr 35min connection more than doable at Changi.
