Nobody can hear me from my mobile phone.

Another update for anybody following this.

I went to my Dad's house last night with a 5g and 4g mobile and a giff gaff new sim card to try out.

With Giff Gaff you have to register and top up £10 before you get the sim card number.

I was hoping that i could insert sim card into old phone and call the new sim card number and see if the voice works. We did not top up.

We then put his sim into the 4g phone and we could hear voice from the mobile.

Tried with the 5g and that worked ok.

I then i had a brainwave of changng the network settings on the 4/5 g mobiles to EE 2g network and there was no voice. Changed back to 4/5 g and the voice worked.

I think there is an issue with EE's/1penny 2g network but on checking the service updates on EE, 1penny and RWG websites there are no issues reported so who knows what is going on.

I will get him a Nokia 105 later this week as he has a mate who has one and liked model and he only calls people and rarely uses txt and mobile internet is a different world to him.
