How do I quickly scroll backwards/forwards through long threadS?

I'm currently reading a member's diary with over 300 pages.  It keeps defaulting to the end when I revisit and I wondered if there is a quick way to go back to say page 150 without having to scroll right through?

You don't say if you are using a phone or a computer - this works on the latter but I can't comment on the former 
If you look at the address line on your laptop when in a long thread like this one

New "Have a Look at This" thread - Page 789 — MoneySavingExpert Forum

the final part of the address usually says '#latest' (without the quotes) at the end, which shows the last part of the thread. 
If you replace the '#latest' with '/p1' (again without the quotes) it will take you to page 1, '/p123' will take you to page 123 etc....

Have you tried bookmarking the thread.  That's what I usually do if I have a long one it will take time (as in days) to read through.

Yes @badmemory and usually that has worked but oddly this time it kept defaulting back to the final post. I think I’ve sorted it though thank you.

Hi everyone

We're currently on a legacy version of the board view, where this isn't as easy as it could be. 

As soon as we can, we'll switch to a new version, where you can jump to any page you want. The new version is currently only enabled on our Latest Threads page.



Later in the year some modifications are being made to support our Competitions Time board (which would currently break if we switched to the new version), then we can switch over.
