I don't know if there's anything different with this price change compared to previous quarters, to make it more difficult for Octopus. Quick look back at my previous post price change bills going back to last April, all were sent on the 2nd except for October which was the 3rd.

I had mine yesterday, not that it matters

I run my own spreadsheet so I know what the bill will be before Octopus do

It went down is perhaps the reason?

Plus the fact they are now the biggest energy supplier in the UK and that comes with some stipulations so the others can get some customers back. (This was a joke btw for those that didn't get it and a jab at previous number 1's)

Didn't it go down a few times over the last year or so?  I don't know the ins and outs of their systems, does a price reduction result in more work than a price rise, and why?

I've not had mine yet, due on the 4th, but it is showing as deducted from my balance today so I'm expecting it soon. On my current balance page on the site it is saying I used more than both my spreadsheet and the octopus compare app make it out to be, 112kwh rather than 88kwh, so need to find out what's causing the difference. Time for a cup of tea and a bit of maths!
  • Mine came today (6th July) but they have not included my Export payment.....so it's wrong.

Estimated reading? Does "Meter reading  history" match your records?

I don't know perhaps it does and of course with all the customers they now have and the advice to send them readings for non smart meters for the price change?

Perhaps just generally a much busier time for them and their infrastructure.

Strange things are afoot. I got my bill on time as usual today but without the export payment. I'm still well in credit so not a big deal and I daresay they'll sort themselves out.

Maybe the time has come for them to invest in a more robust billing system which they could perhaps buy from one of their more established rivals?

Tongue firmly in cheek of course - but it does seem to me that now Octopus have become a large and major player they're starting to suffer from the same issues as the other major players.

Still very much the best supplier there is though, IMHO.
