Anyone else late getting their Octopus bill?

Ever since I finally persuaded Octopus to bill me for whole months, they've always sent the bill ("Energy Statement") on the 2nd or 3rd. This month, still no bill.  The balance has been updated with what looks like roughly the correct figure for import for June, but no expot credit. Meter reading history shows readings dated 1st July as expected.

Yes, mine was late this month. I usually get it on 2nd (I'd submitted a reading on 1st). I submitted another reading yesterday and the bill came in overnight - no idea if those things were connected. The bill was to end of June (my billing date starts 1st if each month). I'm on IOG.

Personally I would stay away from billing on the 1st given the knowledge we have of 3 monthly price cap changes.

Lots of processing and changes going on so to be honest if you purposely chose that date expect some delays or move it?

Can the billing date be moved ( l know payment date can)? The 1st of the month was just a coincidence for me as that's my Ocotpus account became active after I switched to them.

Yes I requested the billing date of 1st and they changed it. I got my bill on Wednesday this week.

I prefer calendar months for consistency with my own records going back years and with various suppliers. Price changes on a month end are another point in favour.

Same here. Pre smart meter you can control it by choosing when to submit your reading.

Once my smart meter was fitted they changed to billing on the 23rd (when smart fitted) then on 6th, when I applied for Tracker, then on 8th when tariff actually changed, then on 20th for no reason at all. So two bills in January and four bills covering February.

It took a bit of pressure to get it corrected and be prepared for the sort of blockheaded response you sometimes get from Octopus nowadays ... "I've checked and the reason we billed on the 20th is because that's your billing date".

My bill arrived today for readings submitted on the 1st. Would imagine they were swamped with readings on Monday due to reduction in price cap so presumably more volume to process. Many times it is overnight.

I went a different route my billing was 1st of the month but I moved it a week later to the 8th. Just to avoid what I have mentioned above.

I asked for bills per calendar months, and the bill appears within about a week of the start of the month.

I'm not bothered about when it is generated, so long as they just bill per month. I can glance at the billing figures on my account anyway, as they appear ahead of the bill.

I submit readings to Octopus 1st of month every month.
If no tariff changes the bill email is always sent on 1st or 2nd.
At tariff change/support scheme change dates my bill has always arrived on 4th, 5th or 6th of the month.
I checked all records going back to when I joined Sept 2021.
This months bill came today, 5th July.
