I just got off the phone with them. They told me to ignore where it says my defense was rejected because she said she can see that the next step is for mediation to happen, so it must just be an automated thing put on MCOL when it appears as if the DQ was sent late (even when it wasnt and they were just late to process it).

I'd follow that up with an email recounting the conversation and saying you are glad the case is finally back on track but the CNBC need to raise with the Senior Management team that they really ought to stop propping up the rogue parking industry, who have little or no intention of resolving cases fairly or even attending hearings. Does nobody realise that this industry is using and abusing the court system?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just an update on this case - I had the mediation call on 31 december, it lasted probbaly 2 mins when they told me they had offered me to settle for £250 or something and I just said there's basically no chance of us coming to an agreement.
Got a letter 2 days ago saying the claim will be heard 10th April this year. There are more details in that I need to read to ensure I do everything I'm meant to do.
Today, DCB legal again emailed offering me to settle, this time for £100.

Just shows (even more) how they are abusing the court system. They could have started Mediation by offering that £100 figure, but no, they used the Mediator to try to wrench more.
You are now at WS and evidence stage. Typical exhibits are listed in the NEWBIES thread.
Could you also complete some answers to this Call for Evidence? Deadline in two weeks:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/81070874/#Comment_81070874It's just been re-opened due to the change in Government. We must go again with it and your case is important.
Your experience should be taken into account, including:
1. the mess up by the CNBC (describe what went wrong and how it made you feel) and
2. the farce of bulk litigator monster DCB Legal using Court Mediation as a crowbar by astonishingly offering to settle a case that you KNOW they'll discontinue (because they always do in the end) at £250 then two weeks later offering to settle at £100, then discontinuing anyway*.
*You could prepare your response to the Call for Evidence but wait until 12th February just in case you can prove discontinuance in the end.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
