Hoping some of you very knowledgeable can help. I bought a packet of Wild Garlic seeds recently & from a liberal sprinkling, these are the only things growing.

I think they’re both varieties of Goosefoot which is not what I wanted. They’re both about 6” tall but the 2nd is much bushier. Can anyone confirm please.

Doesn't look like any wild garlic I've ever seen. As to what it is haven't a clue.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. My thoughts exactly😠. If I’m right, they’re both ‘edible weeds’ but I’m not risking that without confirmation.0

You are correct with the first one it is Goosefoot (probably Chenopodium album) but I think the second one is a non native species possibly Green Amaranth (Amaranth viridis)1

Wish I’d brought some from our previous home where they grew very happily on shady bank behind garage. Doubt they’d have survived 2 moves or storage though.0

Top one I would have called Fat Hen rather than Goosefoot, but they're both the same beastie!
Could the second one perhaps just be a slightly sick-looking basil plant?0 -
Have you considered the seeds purchased might need a winter outdoors before doing their thing? I can't say for sure without looking up their dormancy, but I'm sure you can do that.I know some other baby alliums I have took some time, and then they vanished in mid-summer to stay as a small 'pip,' popping up again in spring."There is no such thing as a low-energy rich country." I agree with Dusty (think that's the second time I've managed to get that Genny Lec reference in recently) re. the need for cold - see e.g., https://www.chilternseeds.co.uk/item_76d_allium_ursinum_seeds.Agree with the Fat Hen id, but the second plant looks to me a lot like a young Self Heal (Prunella vulgaris)...
