Hi All
Would appreciate some advice please. I had the mediation call back in October, the amount being chased was £285. The claimant reduced this down to £230 and I rejected their offer. My counter offer was nil. I was hoping the issue would go away but I've now received the attached in the post - as I understand it the claim has been transferred to the County Court at Manchester and they can't find my defence and have requested that I send the defence before the 28th.
Is this common? Do you think the claim will still progress and I will have to attend court? see attached the letters I received together last week. Any benefit in delaying sending the defence through until as close to the 28th as possible?
Thanks again for all your help!

We have seen this too often recently.
Just send them a copy of your Defence. No benefit in delaying it.
Remember the Claimant already has a copy, so don't be tempted to 'improve' it.

@KeithP thank you very much. Appreciate it1

Sorry @KeithP - another question please. Does the copy of the defence need to be sent to CNBC or The County Court at Manchester? It's slightly confusing?
Presumably if it's the CNBC an email copy of the defence to ClaimResponses.CNBC@justice.gov.uk will suffice?0 -
Manchester, because the CNBC sent the case file to Manchester for further processing, as per your N180 DQ form
By email preferably1 -
@Gr1pr thanks you very much. I don't suppose you have the email address for Manchester do you please?

Hi All - hope you are well!
Just to give some background I had my mediation call at the end of 2024 - we couldn't come to any agreement so we are on to the next step. I received the below letter earlier this week. Just wanted some advice if this is standard process?
