I am under the impression that the OP never had the vehicle registered to the PO Box. The PO Box address didn't come from the DVLA.
You may well be right. It does seem a bit silly for the DVLA to record a PO Box address for where a vehicle is kept.

But what address was on the vehicle's logbook at the time of the parking event and for at least three weeks afterwards? That would be the address that the parking company obtained from the DVLA.

And of course, the other question is where did the parking company get the PO Box address from?

    Chapeau!

I looked for that case the other day for this OP and gave up; thought I'd imagined it. My Google skills must be slipping!

PRACTISE is a verb. Wrong word, @subzero1988

This is correct, sorry if I haven't been clear enough about it but that is what I have been trying to explain.

The only place I have any record of this address would be an "associated address". This is something that TransUnion seem to record, but Equifax and Experian don't seem to record it in the same way - the CCJ doesn't show up on these reports. Maybe it will eventually, but on TansUnion I can see the PO box as an associated address, but Equifax and Experian dont show this -  as far as I can see

    Doesn't matter.

The case law smashes it to smithereens.

Thank you so much everyone, appreciate your patience and all the input. Really happy I decided to not just give in and take the easy route of paying.

This is what has been baffling me - the only place they could have got that is from my credit report, specifically transunion. No other credit score company has that address, TU seem to collect data differently from banks. I've even got my old Uni address as "associated" from when I changed my address temporarily when I was at uni 7 years ago.

I guarantee you, since I have moved in my house in 2019, I have never had a car registered anywhere else than my current residence, this has never changed.

I understand completely why everyone assumed I must have had my car registered with the DVLA to the PO box, because why would the Claimant be using this address - I am just as confused as anyone else.

But as I said, there is only one way they have obtained it - Credit file

I'll add the case law that Grizebeck sent over, and I'll update my final draft

Just one thing - do you think I need to make it more abundantly clear that the car has never been registered with the DVLA to the PO Box? I thought I had got this point across in the WS, but maybe I need to ensure its more apparent?

Show it to us again in a new reply or two, with the case law added about improper service to a PO Box.
