Barclays online banking error

This was not an issue until Barclays updated their display around 3 or 3 weeks ago.

Any transactions that happen on a weekend cannot be seen until Monday, for example, a payment that is made or received on a Saturday, or a cash withdrawal on a Sunday. Yes I know the transaction is dated on the following Monday but these have always been displayed in the past.

I tried to be clever and put Mondays date in the advanced search box but it wouldnt allow me to enter a future date.

Barclays is certainly aware of these transactions because the values are included in  the overall account balance at the top of the page.

Anyone else notice this? Is there a workaround? It is disconcerting not to be able to see all the transactions that contribute to my balance.

Anyone here from Barclays who can shed any light on this?

BTW I am not interested in any replies that say use the mobile app :)

ah, ok sorry - mis-understood your question.

For me it shows an "available balance" which includes the values of the transactions not in the "statement view", but those transactions are then listed in the "pending transactions view".

As you say - this is on the mobile site not the desktop.

I had a feeling that someone would say this is not an issue in the mobile app :)

This only leads me to conclude that the programming for the online banking takes second place to programming for the app. I would love for someone from Barclays to confirm or deny this.

Thanks for responding to my query

It's not just Barclays - Nationwide is the same - like you I can't understand the issue - the data must come from the same source so why is it so hard to render it on a browser window as opposed to a mobile one.

Do you know if the banks themselves monitor these forums?

Barclays have also disabled their messaging facility in their online banking so i cant go to them directly without waiting in a phone queue for the rest of my life

Could be an intentional difference based on usage-patterns they've observed with customers.   e.g. customers want the mobile app to show pending transactions, but the web app only to display posted ones.

The issue is not with pending transactions. It is not displaying cleared transactions that were actioned on a weekend, even though their value is included in the overall balance displayed at the top of the page

You said that in your OP, I think.

But if the transaction happened on a weekend day, then surely it is a "pending transaction" if it is going to be dated the following working day?
