Easyjet Package Holiday illness

Hello,
I need some advice please on a holiday abroad that went wrong.
We purchased a holiday package through Easyjet.
It was supposed to be a 5* resort in Turkey.
Long story short:
Two of my children got bad stomach pains, cramps, sickness and diarrhoea by day 2.
My third who was 3 years old at the time, got Salmonella Poisoning and it got worse on the day we were leaving and once we landed back in the UK.
We were in and out of the hospital. And he was hospitalised for a day but then got discharged, as they said, due to having the symptoms for 5 days, there was nothing more they could do and had to ride it out.
My poor child was constantly screaming and crying in agony with his tiny body tensing up every time he got a stomach cramp and then kept passing blood through his stools and then on its own.
This went on for months. And he still has trauma and anxiety from any sort of stomach pains.
This happened 2 years ago and I haven't been able to bring myself to address this properly, but I would like to now. I did call Easyjet at the time who were not helpful and I actually couldn't get through to anyone.
We also had travel insurance at the time but again, they were no help.
Does anybody have any tips or advice please? I don't know what to do?
I know you have 3 years to complain.
Thank you

No clue about timelimits but you would need to evidence that the cause of the illness was directly related to part of the package. Other people in the hotel being ill at the same time, for example. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Other people in the hotel being ill at the same time, for example.Indeed - did you eat out anywhere other than the hotel ?Was the illness reported formally to the EasyJet rep in the hotel ?Did you seek medical attention back home in the UK ?You've obviously had a dreadful experience, however these are the types of questions that will be asked. Also, why have you waited 2 years before considering further action ?Identifying the hotel in question would be useful IMO.

"I did call Easyjet at the time who were not helpful and I actually couldn't get through to anyone."
Sorry, that doesn't make sense, if you called and they were not helpful you must have talked to someone.
You'll need concrete evidence of an outbreak related to the hotel and two years down the line that'll be a challenge.
Quite honestly, I doubt you'll get any compensation, just hope all of you recover fully.0 -
What evidence have you got?"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0

Not sure what you are wanting?
Kids being sick doesn't warrant a refund or anything like that. People get sick on holiday all the time.
You have travel insurance for things such as having to cancel due to illness and things such as that.
It's also 2 years ago so honestly there is nothing you can do.
You wouldn't get any compensation anyway if that is what you were wanting, especially not 2 years later.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Quick Grabbit, Freebies, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning and the UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.

They could have picked up the infection on the plane or at the airport. It could spread from one child to the rest.
Were other holiday makers affected?
Did you mention it to the hotel?
What did you see at the hotel to make you think there was a problem?
While it unlikely you can claim now , you would need to provide evidence to support your calim.0 -
Playing the Devil's Advocate here - but the hotel and or EasyJet will firstly ask why you have waited 2 years before raising this matter ?Their assumption (not unreasonable) being that you consider the complaint as very low priority.Apologies if that sounds harsh - however that is the reality of this scenario. Can I ask the name of this hotel ?0
