Can I also please remind participants, this post is " ENGLAND Specific"  as Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland  probably have their country specific concessions. Thank You.
It's not a reminder......It's a new requirement from you. It wasn't mentioned in your opening post.
If you look at the very top of the post it reads Home› Local MoneySaving› England.

That is an excellent start, Thank you. B)

Please elaborate on the following and post your most note worthy links.
"Entry discounts at various venues and events"

    Concerts, theatres, cinemas .....................

    Senior Rail Card
I don't think the senior rail card confers anything over and above any other railcard.......so it's not a specific pensioner benefit.  I'm happy to be proved wrong !
It does because once you are above a certain age (30??) there is no other railcard that offers a discount for someone as a sole traveller until you are eligible for the Senior rail card. The other thing in between that,  is as far as I'm aware is the Two Together or if you have a child with you and can use the friends and family.
Happy to be corrected though https://www.senior-railcard.co.uk/
  • I'd always recommend choosing 1st class for rail travel. Superb value for not much extra cost. Then, If you have a railcard you save even more than without one !

B&Q Diamond Card = 10% discount on Wednesdays for over 60's on selected products.
  • * Iceland Stores Discount Card = offers 10% off for over 60's on Tuesdays.
  • * RHS senior life membership discount for over 60's. See website for details.

The same discount also applies to Iceland's sister chain, "The Food Warehouse"

** One of the items you can use is a Bus Pass as proof of being over 60  **

Note added 11 March 2025 - You wil also need to get and register a Bonus Card from iceland or The Food warehouse.I had to ring them to activate my new card once it arrived.  They also have a APP that you can download on your phone.
  • I'm just trying to provide an input for forum members.
Perhaps you can make more of an effort to expand your horizons ?
How about some more ideas from you ?

So keeping the £16k+ element in mind, how many of the above apply?
