My mum’s local council offers a 50% discount on pest control if you can prove your pensioner status.
The pest control is carried out by a private firm and we had to send them a scan of a letter from DWP.
Btw this in one of the Home Counties.

Could also have shown one of the staff the letter but both the staff member and mum forgot.

Saw the following on IKEA's website, it is not Pensioners specific, but on Fridays, the meals in their restaurants including breakfast, are half-price. To get this offer you must have a IKEA Family Members card which they scan at the till when you pay for your purchase. You can also enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee with your reduced price meal.
(  Best to check your local ikea if it has this offer )

    Another travel discount.

    For those in West Yorkshire..

Your Metro bus pass also entitles you to half price, better than Senior Rail Card, discounts on rail travel in West Yorkshire. And the late afternoon restriction on SRC travellers do not apply. You just get a half price all day return if you know you are your return journey begins between 4-6pm.

Good morning, I hope you all have already submitted your gas and electricity meter reading today, if not do it now.
The ofgen pricecap of energy prices went down just over 6 hours ago today and therefore energy has become a little cheaper. So when your next energy bill comes, it show a more accurate usage and correct reduced price will be applied for your usage.
If you have not submitted the readings, do remember to do it today as soon as you can.

Thank you Nelliegrace. My local U3A has a £20 annual fee, this differs in different U3As across the country. It is an excellent medium predominantly for semi retired and retired people. I personally play Table Tennis, 10 Pin Bowling and occasionally petanque (french boules). There are lots of U3A's in different areas, do look up your local one, well worth the effort. My local one also organises theatre trips, day visits to different parts of the country, meals, christmas markets etc. You get to meet lots of people in our age bracket.

That's not restricted to pensioners so doesn't qualify for this thread.

Can I also please remind participants, this post is " ENGLAND Specific"  as Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland  probably have their country specific concessions. Thank You.
It's not a reminder......It's a new requirement from you. It wasn't mentioned in your opening post.
