Hey, I've had a response from Excel after I sent a template from here with some added bits explaining I had no notice to keeper. They obviously rejected and say it's with DCBL now. Can the charge be transferred to another company?0
-
No , but they can contract with a third party, in this case DCBL, to chase up payment in full
They haven't transferred it, but engaged a third party debt collector to chase it up
They can use any company to chase it up ,. Plus any legal company such as Elms legal or DCB Legal or BW Legal etc, or, they can do the work in house, internally
You can use a third party company to dispute the claim, if you wish, including employing your own lawyer firm1 -
So this is standard procedure? Could go back to excel for court claim? One thing is for sure now, I certainly won't be paying 170. So I'll be seeing this one through to the end0

Oh dear, I like your determination and I agree with your stance but if you intend to see this out, you do need to be better prepared.Ba55Man said:So this is standard procedure? If you were unaware that it's standard procedure to get debt crawlers to send threatograms (covered in every other thread you might read!) can I suggest you re-read the fourth post of the NEWBIES thread?
Then after that, read the second post.
In that order. Then you will know what to expect. Please don't tell us about the letters. Come back if you get a LBC.

I understand where you are coming from coupon thanks. I vaguely remember ignoring and getting these letters when I was much younger, on another ticket, and I have read all of the newbies thread. I suppose I was just querying the companies involved and seeking the input of those more knowledgeable on here.
Thanks again2
