I don't see how the BiB would be possible without CASS.0 -

Fair enough, but it does mean that the guarantees that are offered by CASS are not available and I'm not seeing any equivalent being offered by Kroo.

That, and as I said, Kroo not appearing on the CASS website list of banks that are members of CASS lead me to believe that they don't do CASS.

I used Kroo for a couple of years, and everything was fine. I still have the account, but rarely use it. Moved to Chase when Kroo's interest rate dropped below others, but I guess you are able to get a newbie rate? Incidentally, I will not be keeping much cash in Chase either, as Cashback rules are now much more restrictive, and my promotional interest rate ends in October. However, I have just got a Chase credit card 0% on purchases, £7k for 15 months, which I will use to build up savings. A number of banks make good offers and incentives to open new accounts, which effectively disappear after a year or so. Just have to be vigilant and be prepared to switch, move money as required.0

AIUI non-CASS based switches do not close the account, hence them being referred to as 'Partial Switches' instead of the CASS 'Full Switch'.
I suspect Kroo are using the CASS but are not yet offering the associated guarantee.0 -

I suspect Kroo are using the CASS but are not yet offering the associated guarantee.Kroo's website, actually links to a switch form, where you can fill in all the details of a switch, but it claims to take much longer than a normal switch. I opened a Kroo account, completed that confused form, as best I could, and clicked the submit. I got no confirmation, or acknowledgement of having completed the form, so I messaged 'hello@kroo.com. The answer I got, suggested they hadn't received the form, and that they don't offer any sort of switch or help to switch - you have to do it all manually...Does anyone know if Kroo can be set to pay off my credit card bill, automatically each month, which will be a variable amount?0 -

As for the CASS thing I'm wondering what a bank has to do to be part of it. Is it particularly onerous or expensive?1
