Kroo

Anyone signed up and used Kroo?

I see that they have a great interest on current account, no savings account required.

Just wondered how they are and how popular they are?

thanks

I've been using them for my main bank account for 18 months now without any problems.

I used Kroo for a bit, not as a main account, but as a vehicle for savings. They operated fine, and they have full FSCS protection so I was happy to keep my money with them, but I moved away when their savings interest became uncompetitive compared to other banks. They are app-only in case that makes/breaks it for you.

thanks, the app only doesn't bother me, they seem simple and to the point, i can only see from looking online that they had 150,000 customers in one year can seem to find a further update on the total amount of customers they have.

more than happy for my money to sit in the main account to incur interest as they seem higher than others?

I use chase but might go over to them.

    Are they popular or tiny?

IMO, everything Kroo does, Chase does better. You also can't switch to Kroo using CASS so it's a bit of a faff to move cross and make them your primary bank. Chase also offer better interest on their savings account.

Unsure how big Kroo are actually, but they've been around for years so I'd imagine they are popular

i think I'm going to try them, doesn't affect anything if i sign up and then decide i dont want to be with them does it?

their interest rate on the account is drawing me to use them rather than chase tbh

I use Kroo as my secondary account. It has a couple of month's of money in it and I use that money to bounce through various other accounts to earn rewards or to get a fee waived or to qualify for Nationwide's payout. I also feed a few regular savers from it. All of that is automatic because it's a current account so you can setup a sequence of standing orders. I have a calendar reminder on about the 6th of each month to check all the accounts to make sure everything has happened as intended.

Kroo are fine. Their app is not the best designed but it does everything I need.

Not popular enough to have their own Wiki page.
