I've been using them for my main bank account for 18 months now without any problems.
all direct debits set up are fine etc?
Yes. Direct debits and a couple of standing orders. I do my spending on my Santander Edge credit card for CashBack and the full balance is collected from my Kroo account each month. My pension is paid into it.

Yep. I use mine as a spending money account. It's a good way to earn decent interest on my day to day money. I also  prefer to use cash and Kroo offer unlimited free ATM withdrawals, which not all the app banks do, so it's a good account for me. Never had any issues and the app is nice and simple.

    thanks very helpful,

signed up, deposited money and received my card, all seems ok so far.

Probably use if just for everyday spends and my other bank for my bills and for my salary to be paid into.

Anyone know how many customers they have?

Last numbers I saw were 150,000 current accounts at end of 2023. Probably a few more since then.

I see that they have a great interest on current account, no savings account required.

Just wondered how they are and how popular they are?

    thanks
I would LOVE to get a KROO account but they have been a nightmare.  I can't get an account because they don't believe I actually exist, despite have numerous bank accounts in the past.  I have given up trying to get it sorted and have received no response from complaints, data requests, etc, etc.  Its such a shame as they promise so much but I have hit a complete brickwall with only generic responses.  Customers services provide a great 'computer says no' service.

I wonder if anyone else used the Kroo form, to have Kroo pick up all the ingoing and outgoing payments, transfer the balance, plus eventually close the original account with another bank?

How did it go, did it work? I found the form, extremely confusing to complete, and once sent, there was absolutely no acknowledgement, or confirmation that they had received it.

I never realised that they did the switching service now. I've not filled it in sorry but I use them for my spending account.

I messaged them, on Thursday, to try to see what is happening, at hello@kroo.com. I have just had a manual response from them this morning, Saturday, to request more details. They replied instantly to the more details, and said they were passing my enquiry up the line..
