So when is your WS deadline   ?  ( you didn't give us a date   )

It doesn't state on the letter a specific date, just within 14 days before the date so 31st July?
They rarely do, so both of you are expected to work it out yourselves , so around 2 weeks after the fee date and 2 weeks before the pencilled in hearing date . It's a very important date that most people overlook

Check your local civil court a week or so after the fee date,  especially if they have not sent you the WS

Hi, we haven't received a WS as of yet. We have just retuned from Holiday so are looking to complete the WS within the next day or two.

What am I looking for exactly when checking our local civil court?

Is it the upcoming hearings here?

or do I search case number here:

Finding the court website is easy enough but what am I checking for?

I still have 10 days to go since the fee date is 17th July.

You contact the correct department to find out if the claimant or their lawyers have paid the court fee, AFTER the deadline date,  so after the 17th July

There won't be a hearing if this is a single PCN case but email a WS bundle anyway to prod them into discontinuing.

Then show your NoD as seen in @Umkomaaas thread please. We need them! We are counting.

I will start creating one the weekend when I get a spare hour or two to bury my head into it, and get picture evidence of the signs - however, would prefer them to waste their £27!

    Nice email this morning

"Our client has instructed us to discontinue Court proceedings and close our file. Therefore, please find enclosed the Claimant’s N279 Notice of Discontinuance for your records.

The attached has also been filed with the Court. "

Nice of them to come into the Office especially early today just to sign your N279.

Thank you @JN33 for the copy of your NoD. I can now get this counted in the DCBL Legal thread of shame. 👍
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
