She can nominate a spokesperson for the mediation call, its a 5 minute call, no offer,  no compromise,  see them in court   !  Anyone can say no , no offer   ( or maybe offer  £10  ) , no settlement

So I suggest that you or a trusted person take the mediation call,  but to answer your question, they tell her when it is

If the call is missed,  the case proceeds in the normal manner

Thank you, she sent the N180 over today for both this case and the ECP one she has outstanding as both were due. She's nominated me for mediation.

    Thanks for your help.

It's been a month give or take and we still have no hearing date, or letters. Should she chase this up with Walsall Court?

Kind of praying nothing arrives in the next couple of days because we decided to book a 1 week holiday 29th June > 7th July.

We were thinking of sending the following email to Walsall County Court (enquiries.walsall.countycourt@justice.gov.uk):

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing in relation to my small claim case, reference number XXXXXXXX, which was transferred to Walsall County Court on 19 May 2025.

I have not yet received a Notice of Hearing. However, I wish to notify the Court that I will be unavailable from 29 June to 7 July 2025 due to pre-booked travel. I kindly request that any hearing not be scheduled during this period.

Please confirm receipt of this message and let me know if any further information is needed.

    Kind Regards,
    X

Though I am pretty sure if she is given 14 days notice to attend, then she should be ok?

Funnily enough the letter arrived this morning.

Claimant has until 4pm 17 July to pay the trial fee or file a properly completed application - failing to do so the claim will be struck out with effect from the 17 July.

Hearing is scheduled for 12pm, Thursday 14th August.

It doesn't state on the letter a specific date, just within 14 days before the date so 31st July?

They rarely do, so both of you are expected to work it out yourselves , so around 2 weeks after the fee date and 2 weeks before the pencilled in hearing date . It's a very important date that most people overlook

Check your local civil court a week or so after the fee date,  especially if they have not sent you the WS

DCB sent an email yesterday trying to reduce the invoice back down to £100 and have tried to call again this morning even though I told her to press 2 the last time they tried to call a few weeks back to say she's not who they were asking for in order to stop the calls - clearly never worked. No idea why she put her real number down in the first place at the initial stage.

Thank you for the advice, I will keep an eye on it for her.
