This morning the police have issued me a PCN while I was dropping my child.

It was really frustrating that I went outside and told him that I am about to move, but he was a bit rude and did put the penalty charge on my car.

Is there any change I can win this appeal?

Thanks

If you had left the vehicle to drop off your child then I cannot see that you have any defence at all.

The part of this site that normally helps with parking tickets specialises in private companies not police/council ones.

They used to recommend heading over to Pepipoo but I think there is another alternative now instead. Will post it if I can find the details.

     ETA try here. https://www.ftla.uk/
then, as above, unless they’ve massively messed up the paperwork somehow dropping a child off is not an adequate excuse for stopping on a red route.

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

As I mentioned, I stopped on the kerb where the parking bays stopped. It was unsafe for me to stop on a dual carriageway with 30mph and busy road

You stopped on double reds to allow a passenger to alight. You're bang to rights. That's the difference between red and yellow lines.

or expand the "Along the side of the carriageway" section.

There is no appeal, because you did what is explicitly prohibited. Pay the penalty, and don't do it again.

You're comment is not really helpful. Please find the photo where I have parked

The no stopping area outside of the marked bays extends to the back of the adopted highway, which  is probably where the bushes are.

Your only defence is to prove the area you were ticketed isn't adopted highway.

To help you. You are aware that the double reds, as double yellows extend all the way to the edge of any path etc, not just end at the curb.

Waiting restrictions indicated by red/yellow lines apply to the road, pavements and verges. Therefore, it is still against the law to park on the pavement/verge by the side of red/yellow lines.

Never mind the fact you are totally blocking a footpath, causing pedestrian's to walk on the road 🤷‍♀️

Yes, I have parked on that area for drop off, when came back the office already issues a ticket.

    How can I do that?

Forgot to attach this one as well
