    Youdon't really have much choice.

If you withdraw your claim at this stage, the contract you agreed with them will almost certainly allow them to charge you whatever fees and expenses they have incurred to date on your behalf.

    Might be expensive...
  • yes I have seen the small print and that is a concern, they only want me to take a picture of the various forms of I'd so not sure how risky that is

You're passing them to someone in a highly regulated profession. If you really don't trust them then why did you start this in the first place?

If you’re going abroad, you’ll have to give your passport details to travel agents or airlines.

if you hire or test drive a car, you’ll give your licence details.

Who would you rather trust, a solicitor or some unknown clerk?
  • Good point

  • I was hoping that other people have had good experiences with this company tbh?

Well, they are reportedly late with their accounts.

Hopefully they are not in financial trouble. Just search for the cavity wall insulation scandal going on at the moment when the ambulance chasing solicitor went bust. Individuals getting sued for thousands each.

What is the actual loos you have incurred with dieselgate in the UK? They didn't change the tax, so no loss there, no one was charged for any fix, so no cost there, it didn't affect the value, so no cost their either.

As you have been subject to scams / frauds before then you appetite to risk doesn't appear to have changed much.

Public reviews are very mixed, but more about their comms than their outcomes. You are in the position now of supply the info and hope for the best, or withdraw and pay some money for piece of mind.
