Just want to point out the title of this thread, it does say 'after I've contacted them'.

Op's previous thread is relevant to this question:

Perhaps MSE Towers could link / merge.

Unfortunately, no one can tell the OP how long it will take, as we (nor the OP) know why his PIP stopped.

It stopped because I didnt get the letter they sent, [most likely reason] presume this is the case when you answer, thanks guys
But nobody can give an answer because it depends on the exact reason it stopped, if it was indeed a letter you missed it'll depend on what was in the letter.  Worst case scenario could be you need to reapply and start a whole new claim.  But you won't know until you have all the details.  (And it's incredibly difficult to put timescales on anything to do with PIP anyway, even when all the facts are known.)

I recently had the renewal application go missing in the mail, and due to a telephone number change didn't receive their text messages. So the first I was aware was when my ESA amount dropped due as they removed the disability premium, the rest was still paid and so was full PIP as it was a five year reward that doesn't end until next August (hence not expecting the renewal yet).

I called them the same day as my ESA payment, received the new reapplication paperwork 4 days later, sent it back 2 days after that and payments were back in place around a week, and a further phonecall to get it reinstated, from then. Don't know how similar that is to your case, but those are the most recent timescales I can share.

They were lovely on the phone, all eager to help, even after being passed on to a decision maker as the person who answered the phone wasn't able to make the call on new paperwork being sent out.

Are ESA aware of your new address?

Like PIP, ESA have periodic reassessments.  And again, like PIP, if you don't respond or attend the assessment the payments will stop as the DWP assume that the reason you haven't engaged is because you no longer wish / are eligible to claim the benefit.

Have you a support worker, or a family friend who can advocate for you ?
If your poor mental health is preventing you phoning PIP / ESA ,then I'd suggest making a GP appt to explore what practical help there is for you (and to see if medical intervention could help your present state of mind).
    Also you could try MIND:

If you are receiving council tax support, then you need to let them know your PIP award has ended - as you will now be building up overpayments.
