Is there no maximum amount that can be paid by debit card? I think I read one was £2000 but I suppose you could make multiple deposits.qbadger said:If you want to deposit by debit card, open and fund their S&S ISA account. You can then move the money from there to the cash ISA.
There is a 0.7% fee on debit card deposits after £2000

It's aggregate. I am not sure if it's shared between Invest and S&S ISA.

How do I close the ISA account on Trading 212? I’ve opened one but not put anything in it and now unsure about going ahead as I’ve tried many timed to add funds with no success. I’m also unsure how safe it is with it only requiring an email and password to set it up.Andyb01 said:I don't believe this is a scam but it has put me off investing with Trading 212 - I set up a cash ISA account but opened and closed it within an hour.
Firstly they wanted my bank login username details for an instant transfer - never happening - and on a bank transfer I was unable to verify the account details using name check, so I binned the transfer and closed the ISA account.
Why no option to make a deposit by debit card?
The above are classic red flags for a scam - like I say - almost certainly not a scam in this case but these companies know what fraud triggers look like and they can and must do much better than this if they want my business.
As they say on Dragon's Den: I won't be investing, I'm out!

Not being able to deposit is user error tbh.
To sign up you need to give email, password, investment questionnaire and NI number etc. Do you mean log in? You can set up 2 factor if you want it more secure.
If you want to close: Settings > My account > Account details > Close account.2 -
Just topped up to £20k max after putting £25 in to make sure appeared correctly and no seeing no issues
Had to jump through a few hoops as paid from joint account but paying into this company is similar to other accounts I've used so no problem. Assume MSE also do a fair bit of due diligence before offering up as a recommendation too so thinking no problems but covered by standard regs anyway like most financial comanies0 -
Your bank may have restrictions but that is not the same as VISA/Mastercard. I've made more than a dozen £30,000 - £50,000 payments by cardnottsphil said:

Reading this has made me a bit anxious having followed Martins link to apply. All went well until it got to photo ID and without passport or drivers licence I was stuck.
i found an email address and there went about 2 weeks of what I could provide as ID. I’ve had about 6 handlers all with Eastern European names, Dragomira being the most interesting! It got a bit snippy and I stayed away from the conversation but hadn’t been able to log out. A few days later my application has suddenly been accepted by email and onlineAs I couldn’t log out all my details are up on the page, if I just shut down and open up the site again click on log in no password asked for
, goes to the same pay in page. Nothing is secure while my details are still up and I’m not paying in any money. All feeling suss now. What banking app doesn’t let you log out or in after they were like zealots over ID for application0 -
@CJ you can log out, you need to do a bit of searching for it. I agree that I don't like that it doesn't log you out if you close the window though.CJ said:Reading this has made me a bit anxious having followed Martins link to apply. Logout is two clicks from the main menu.
I agree the login seems a bit lax - however you can turn on 2FA in the security settings.
It's not suss, it just doesn't sound right for you.0 -
thanks both. It’s good to know this is how it works. I have tried all the icons and did not find a log off but will have another look.
Found it all now, password saved and logged out and secure1
