Parent moving to care home, wants me to live in her house with my family, what about my sister?

I am not the sentimental type. In fact, I want my parents to sell my childhood home because they are struggling with the upkeep and managing the stairs. But they want to hold on for sentimental reasons even if they are living in a house in disrepair.
At the end of the day, what made the home was the family in it, not the brick and mortar. It is much more important to have your daughter make happy memories with her grandmother while her grandmother is still there to make them.
As others have said, this could become a source of tension with your sister especially if she feels as if she is being penalised for not having children.#24 Save 12k in 20264
