  • It's very hard to see a difference in yourself. It's usually others who notice first. I knew it was making a difference when Ste turned round and said, 'Wow you can tell you're losing weight.. you've got a waist and your belly's not overhanging anymore!'

He always was a charmer...

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: well done you

  • Also I forgot another [strike]excuse[/strike] reason for my belly being bigger... Ste cooked a 3 course dinner last night so with that and lady problems being due I'm suprised it's not bigger! lol

    Lost nothing....again. :(

Right, need a new plan of action. I'm doing WW, and despite sticking to it for the last 3 weeks, I haven't lost anything. Which is crap, and I'm getting a bit demotivated.

Sooo, I need to reduce my points a bit, which is going to be tough, because I already feel hungry all the time because I'm back up to 4 breastfeeds a day (managed to drop one but the little monkey needed 4 when she was ill and I'm struggling to drop it again).

My plan is to drop 2 points per day, but to do that I'm going to have to stop eating crap that uses up vital points, and make everything I eat count. No more 1.5 point biscuit....instead I will have a banana (same points but more filling).

And....just to keep my mind focussed.....if I lose weight this week, I will allow myself a day off on the 23rd, so I can enjoy a certain birthday party without having to add up how many glasses of wine I have had.

    Oops, sorry for rambling.

  • Snaggles.. maybe BECAUSE you're breastfeeding your body is clinging on to everything it can so it's got nutrients it needs for the milk?

Awww, thanks hun, but the 'nutrients' are bulging over my jeans.....lol!

I wont overdo it though, promise. :)

Just sitting here with 2 slices of dry toast and a LARGE glass of water with a squeeze of lime, and you know what....it's actually not that bad!

Just doing my usual walking, which is about 40 minutes a day. You get extra points for the exercise. I've been swimming as well, but with 2 kids in tow there wasn't much actual swimming went on.

I could do with doing more exercise, but I'm still having a lot of joint problems from having Natasha, so I'm scared of doing any damage. As it is, some days I can hardly walk when I get out of bed (and bizarrely, I can't clench my fists in a morning because my finger joints are so stiff). I'm a complete wreck!

I had it with Ryan too (worse with him actually) - it's because the ligaments haven't recovered from the hefty dose of relaxin yet, so the joints I use most aren't very stable (my hands hurt because they spend so much time gripping the handle of a pram I think).

It went once I stopped breastfeeding last time, so when Natasha gets to a year old and I start weaning her, hopefully I will go back to feeling 30-something instead of 80-something.

Just noticed Stu has pinched the last of the fruit, so I'm going to peel some carrots to nibble through the day. I WILL lose weight!!! LOL!

  • Hello :)
Ia, the dinner is PERFECTY justified, don't even think about feeling bad about it. You need treats every now and then.
My diet plan is the following: I can eat yummy hash browns and stuff for b'fast, I eat a soup and other semi-good food for lunch, and I resrict at dinnertime - this is Monday to Thursday. I also nibble apples and stuff. On Friday evening I have a proper dinner as it's Shabbat, on sat I have proper lunch and no dinner. Sunday is lazy day but will try to do gym and eat sensibly. Friday is my indulging day!
Snaggles, I am sure it's not that bad.. I know hwo disheartening it can be if you don’t see results but it migth be that if you exercise, muscles weigh more than fat so you are getting slimmer, its just the same weight?
