What plants for a gothic garden

Hi, I'm planning on making a gothic garden so looking for recommendation of plants (preferably perennials). I want something that's either got dark leaves or black, very dark purple/blue/red flowers. The garden gets sun from midday to about 5pm at this time of the year. At the moment my ideas are: hollyhock jet black…

Grow some ordinary Antirrhinums (Snapdragons)...you can of course get varieties with dark purple flowers, but the real fun, regardless of flower colour, is that the seed pods that follow the flowers look exactly like little skulls!
