    Hi

I have done the thing on MCOL online and refered to my Defence pdf (in the box) that I sent by email to Claimresponses.cnbc@justice.gov.uk...and got an acknowdgement from them. I adapted the template and added some stuff about byelaws case you refer to above.

The notes say to copy Defence to VCS, however, not sure what their email address is.

I did not counterclaim but did dispute all of their claim....not sure if that was right.

Is my expectation right that I will now wait for a place and data for a hearing...anything else to do?

Hi Could someone check the actions I've taken below, please

I submitted defence online via MCOL, though I only refered to my Defence PDF (signed and scanned) - no space to put in whole defence . I've sent copy as an email attachement of defence to Claimresponses.cnbc@justice.gov.uk as . I got an auto-acknolwedgement that they would respond within 10 days

I did not counterclaim...maybe thinking this was a mistake?

I have completed also the hardcopy though not sure if I need to send this too by post.

The notes on here mention sending copies of defence to VCS Ltd...not sure of there up to date email, and if I need to do this.

    Thanks

What exactly do you mean by the highlighted words above? Did you put anything at all in the defence box on the MCOL portal? Putting even just a single comma or full stop means that that is your defence.

Hopefully, they accept the PDF version you emailed them but with an automated system like MCOL, there could be problems ahead for you. Did you email your defence first or put something in the defence box first?

See the words by email in there?

My Defence was too long to fit in. So have just referred to it as sending via email.

MCOL was the portal where you put the defence in.

I submitted on MCOL referring to the pdf in the box. Then sent the PDF of the dull Defence by email.

Then it is highly likely that whatever cryptic comment you put in 'the box' will be taken as your full Defence.

All the guidance on this forum says to put nothing in the Defence box anywhere.

In fact, an earlier post of mine on your very own thread stated...

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

Oh no.  I am sorry this is a disaster.

What you put in the box is the sum total of your defence. This goes against all advice.
